Sailing at the Boothbay Harbor Yacht Club

BHYC is located in West Boothbay Harbor, a wonderful sailing venue; protected yet offering easy access to the beautiful Maine coast.

BHYC offers many fun sailing opportunities:

  • Club cruises are run periodically throughout the summer.
  • Sailing clinics are held weekly at the club with chalk talks and on the water practice.
  • BHYC has two J-22s available to members for practice or racing or lessons.
  • There are many racing opportunities.

The racing program is very active, with adult races in Optis, Thursday evening races inside Tumbler Island and Saturday afternoon races outside Tumbler Island.  All racing is open to BHYC members and non-members.  Click on any of the links below for more information.
