JUNIOR TENNIS
Classes meet Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Junior Program Beginners instruction is from 1:00 to 2:30 PM. Junior Program Masters instruction is from 10:30 - 12:00 AM. Junior Program Advanced Masters classes meet from 2:30 to 4:00 PM. In the event of inclement weather, tennis classes will be held at the Boothbay Region YMCA at the regularly scheduled times. Please call the BHYC office at 633-5750 to confirm class location.
LADIES' TENNIS
Ladies Tennis offers an open clinic and round robin play from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM on Wednesdays. Additional sign up court times are available on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:00 to 4:30 PM for 3.0 sign up play. The courts are reserved on Wednesday afternoons from 3:00 to 4:30 PM for 3.5 sign ups and Friday mornings from 9:00 to 10:30 AM for 3.5 pre-arrangement. MEN'S TENNIS
The courts are reserved using sign ups from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM on Saturday mornings and from 9:00 to 10:30 AM on Tuesdays and Thursdays for men’s play.
MIXED TENNIS
A mixed open clinic is available from 9:00 to 10:30 AM on Mondays.
MIXED DOUBLES TOURNEY
The Mixed Doubles Tourney is scheduled for Saturday, July 2nd. The starting time is1:00 p.m. Sharma Schacknow and our club pro Larry Rioux are the contacts for this event. Please sign up at the tennis shack if you would like to participate. Sharma and Larry will pick the teams.
LADIES DOUBLES TOURNEY
The Ladies Doubles Tourney is scheduled for July 9 and July 10 starting at 9:00 a.m. Rebecca Levitan and the club pro Larry Rioux are the contacts for this event. The tourney divisions will be divided into A and B groups with each group playing against teams in their division. Each player can choose which group they wish to play in. If you are an advanced player, you will probably enjoy the competition in the A group. If you are an intermediate player, your chances of receiving an award will most likely be by playing in the B division. Your choice. Sixteen players participated last year. There will be sign up sheets in advance.
MEN'S DOUBLES TOURNEY
The Men’s Doubles Tourney is scheduled for July 23 at 9:00 a.m. Alan Burke will organize this event with Larry Rioux’s help. Alan will pick the teams. Sign up sheets will be posted in advance.
CALCUTTA
Dates for the Annual Calcutta and Dinner will be posted. The contacts for this event are Claudia Greene, Sharon Rofe and Sumner Lipman.
