50th Annual Running – July 20 & 21, 2024
Great racing and social events in Boothbay Harbor upcoming in July. The 50th BHYC Regatta and Shipyard Cup Classics Challenge offers traditional PHRF handicap and one design racing as well as several divisions of Classic Yachts. Our well run regatta will insure solid competition coupled with exciting social activities for all.

This regatta recognizes and includes the large fleet of Classic yachts in New England and especially on the coast of Maine and their popularity. Boothbay Harbor Yacht Club is coordinating with the Classic Yacht Owners Association (CYOA), Friendship Sloop Association, Boothbay Harbor One Design Association among several others in continuing to promote Classics racing in  the 50th year of this historic regatta.

Combining Classics with the traditional large PHRF and One Design fleets will make for an exciting experience. The timing of July 20th and 21st allows for participation in GMORA and Classic signature events later in July and August.

Presented by Boothbay Harbor Yacht Club in conjunction with the marine community and support from key sponsors the weekend will offer competitive racing and the beauty of sail on Booth Bay.

Multiple divisions for PHRF and One Designs

  • Division 1 – PHRF up to 93
  • Division 2 – PHRF 94-141
  • Division 3 – PHRF 142-192
  • Division 4 – PHRF 193 and Up
