Cruising

Each summer, members of BHYC get together for cruises of varying lengths along the coast of Maine, and occasionally to Canada, and as well as points south. Cruising itineraries are designed to provide something for everyone during the course of the summer. The fleet includes both sail and power vessels of various sizes.

While the full cruising itineraries are listed, some members choose to join the cruise in sections, either because of time, or because they desire to visit a particular location. It is not uncommon to have a vessel start out with the fleet, leave for a few days and then rejoin us. We also encourage those without a vessel to join the fleet at those locations where we have dinner ashore. The coast of Maine has many interesting B&Bs and inns where one can stay, offering opportunities for members to join up with the fleet. Members with boats that are not set up for overnights also take advantage of this approach. Arrive by boat and spend the night at an inn and join us for dinner. Just be sure to sign up for the dinner when the cruise sheets are posted so that we can include you in our reservations.

Cruise registrations should be made on the Club Calendar via the Cruise link or in the Casino on the posted sign-up sheets.
